Chitwan Jungle Safari: 2 Nights 3 Days

Introduction to Chitwan National Park Establishing Chitwan National Park as a protected area occured in 1973 and covers an area of approximately 950 sq km comprising multi-bio-diverse species in the natural Terai Ecosystem with a predominance of Sal Forest (Shorea robusta), elephant grass (Saccharum spontaneum), seasonally flooded wetlands, interconnected lagoons or oxbow lakes of river systems such as the Rapti River, Narayani River, and Reu River.

Chitwan National Park is home to around 68 species of mammal in addition to approximately 558 bird species, 256 species of reptile, and an infinite number of plant & insect species, making this reserve one of the main points for global tourists to come view wildlife in South Asia. Visitors who come to Chitwan National Park will be afforded the opportunity to witness aspects of Nepal, unlike any they could witness elsewhere in Nepal; i.e., witnessing first-hand how subtropical ecosystems continue to remain substantially intact since their inception due to active conservation efforts by local/regional government agencies in Nepal, while acknowledging the need to actively protect against threats to large/medium-sized terrestrial vertebrate species in what was previously the Terai region of Nepal.
