Welcome to Happy Mountain Nepal. By booking our trekking or tour services, you (“Client,” “Tourist,”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before making a booking.
1. Booking and Planning
- All tours and trekking trips must be planned in advance. Clients are encouraged to inform us of preferred travel dates, destinations, and trip type (trekking, sightseeing, cultural tours) before confirmation.
- International clients may use our recommended local or international tour partners, including Get your Guide, Trip Advisor, and more.
2. Payment Terms
- A minimum advance payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the trip starts.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer to our official company account. Payments through third-party portals like WeTravel may reduce trust and are not recommended.
- Additional processing fees (3% of total transaction) may apply for online card payments. This fee is payable by the client.
- Cash payments are accepted in person, but advance notice is required.
3. Trust and Verification
- Clients are encouraged to verify the authenticity of our services via:
- Official registration and business credentials
- Founder information and trip leader identification
- Reviews on TripAdvisor, Google, or through word-of-mouth recommendations
- Happy Mountain Nepal guarantees full transparency regarding trip itinerary, pricing, and included/excluded services.
4. Trip Itinerary & Services
- Upon inquiry, clients will receive a customized itinerary, including:
- Trip overview and day-by-day schedule
- Accommodation details in Kathmandu, Pokhara, or other destinations
- Transportation arrangements (private or local)
- Certified trekking guides, nature guides, and city tour guides
- Meals, insurance, and applicable permits
- Clients may request customization of itinerary to suit preferences.
5. Leaves and Travel Policies
- For corporate clients, certain leave arrangements may be subsidized for tourism purposes. Paid leave from work may apply depending on the client’s employer.
- Clients are encouraged to travel mindfully, as rest and recreation improve efficiency and enjoyment during the trip.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds depend on the trip type and timing of cancellation:
- Advance payments are partially refundable depending on the notice period
- Non-refundable fees may apply for government permits, flights, or third-party services
- Trip modifications are allowed subject to availability and prior communication.
7. VAT, Taxes & Legal Compliance
- Services provided within Nepal are subject to 13% VAT.
- Services exported internationally (for foreign tourists) may be VAT exempt as per Nepalese law.
- TDS (1.5%) and other applicable taxes will be deducted as required by law.
8. Liability
- Happy Mountain Nepal ensures safety, certified guides, and quality services; however, the company is not responsible for:
- Personal accidents, illnesses, or injuries during the trip
- Lost or damaged personal belongings
- Delays due to weather, natural events, or third-party service providers
- Clients must follow safety instructions and guidelines provided by guides.
9. Communication & Customer Support
- All inquiries are addressed through WhatsApp, email, or official communication channels.
- Personalized responses, including detailed itineraries and clarifications, are sent manually by our team to ensure accuracy and trust.
- Clients are encouraged to clarify doubts or request customizations before finalizing payment.
10. General Terms
- Happy Mountain Nepal reserves the right to modify terms, pricing, and itineraries with prior notice.
- By booking, clients acknowledge understanding of these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with company policies.
